What this site collects, and what happens when you follow a link to a retailer.
Who is responsible

What this site collects
The site has no forms or accounts and doesn’t ask for your name or contact details. It’s hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which processes standard request data, such as IP addresses, to deliver and protect the site. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when your browser requests them.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It doesn’t set cookies or use local storage, and it doesn’t identify individual visitors; it records things like the page viewed, the referring site, the country, and the browser and device type, in aggregate. Cloudflare adds its measurement script automatically.
Links to retailers
Some links take you to retailers’ websites through a short Firwick address beginning /go/. When you use one, our hosting records that the link was clicked, with the time, the link and your general location (country), so we can see which guides are useful. We don’t record your name or set a cookie. Once you reach a retailer, or an affiliate network such as Awin, their own privacy and cookie notices apply, and they may use cookies to record that you came from Firwick.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own. If we ever want to use non-essential cookies, we’ll ask for your consent first.
If you email us
We use your email only to reply and keep the correspondence as long as needed to deal with it.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask what we hold about you and ask us to correct or delete it. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
